OUR STORY

Our story begins with Jonathan Ortlip who grew up as a missionary kid in Haiti. He became the founder of Ambassadors Football but never had the opportunity to start a ministry there until God put him in touch with Rich Mears.

In 2006, after being trained by Ambassadors Football in the U.S., Rich Mears founded Ambassadors Football in Haiti and trained over 400 coaches and workers in Football Ministry before turning the work over in 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, John Boggs, also a missionary kid who grew up in Haiti, was the director of Ambassadors Football Haiti and founded the camp ministry.

From 2017 to present the director of Ambassadors Football Haiti has been Jean Lucasse Henrilus, a Haitian young man who started playing soccer under Rich Mears and his staff at the age of 12.  He and his staff currently coach players between the ages of 6 and 15 on a weekly basis and continue the tradition of training their players to love God and football!
